This is the last post and I must say that this novel was one of the most interesting novels that I´ve ever read. The novel is very well written and as soon as you start reading it you stick to it. The story about Temple and how she travels around America is really amazing. The blogging has also been quite fun, at least funnier than I expected. I think that both reading and blogging about this novel has been an interesting experiance and it is really something I would recomend for others to do. If I were supposed to recomend this novel to someone else I would say that the person must have a certain interest in both zombies and dystopias, also the person should be around Temples age or older to be able to understand the whole book and Temples feelings.

This is the last post before we evaluate the novel. In this last post I´m the travel tracer, since the last stop Temple has escaped from the captivity with the mutants, she brought Maury with her and they walked along a train track for a couple of days until a train finally came and picked them up. The crew on the train said that the train stops in Longview, Texas, and therefrom she can borrow a car an drive the last part of her journey to find Maurys relatives.

This week I´m The connector but I can´t really connect this novel to any others that I´ve read. However I think the novel is a bit simillar to the walking dead. I think it´s like the walking dead because the main character has to travel all the time, meeting new people along the way, and ofcourse the novel is like The walking dead because it has zombies in it.

So this time i´m the vocabulary enricher. There hasn´t been any words that has been so hard that i haven´t been able to understand the story but there are a some words that pops up over and over again wich are good to know the meaning of. The words wich i concider important to know are:

Shrug - basically means that you raise your shoulders to show ignorance. in Swedish "shrug" translates to "axelryckning". The word "shrugged" appears a lot of times in the book.

Enigma - A mystery or a riddle, Temple uses this word to describe her new friend "Dummy". In Swedish it means "gåta" or "mysterium". This word has only been used once so far but it was completley new to me and i had absolutley no idea of what it meant.

Lastly I´ve chosen to explain and translate the dinner grace, basically beacuse I didn´t really understand the meaning of it at all.

-Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is God´s will for you.

This is an extract from "1 Thessalonians 5:16-18" and it requests for people to be graceful and to pray a lot for it is God´s will. In swedish it translates to "Var alltid glada, be ständigt och tacka hela tiden Gud. Gör så, det är Guds Vilja."

First off to explain this part of the blogging, each time we make a stop in the book everyone gets a role to write about. So for example this week I´m "the summariser" wich means that i will summarise all the events that have taken place in the book so far. The other roles are "the vocabulary enricher", "the connector", "the travel tracer" and "the character tracer". I believe that the others in my group will explain their roles further in their own posts.

So as I said, this week I´m the summariser and so far in the book there have actually been a lot of things going on. First off we have met this girl named Temple who lives on her own. Temple seem to be pretty comfortable living on her own and she also posesses a lot of diffrent skills such as fishing, firemaking and of course scouting and killing zombies. In the beginning of the book Temple lives in an old lighthouse until one morning when she finds a zombie that have been washed up on the shore, she talks with the zombie for a while before she kills it, packs her stuff in a cooling bag and swims over the sea to the mainland. On the mainland she finds a car wich she hotwires and drives away with. On the trip she collects som supplies like food and other necessary things. After that quick stop she continues to drive until the car breaks down, she spots an old house and enters it only find herself trapped with three zombies, fortunatly she fights them off quite easily.

So far I really enjoy the book, it´s very exciting and the description of the enviroment is really good. I wonder what the others in my group thinks about the book so far?

Quote from the book - "See there´s a music to the world and you got to be listening otherwise you´ll miss it sure"

My name is Marcus, I´m not really a big fan of books but as soon as I sit down with a book and choose to spend time with it I really enjoy it!

I chose this book mainly beacuse i´m a huge fan of zombies.  I hope that the book will have a lot of action and fights in it so that it doesn´t just end up in a worthless love story. I think that writing about the book in a blog will be really fun and exciting!
